Attraction Spotlight: Elm Creek Park Reserve
With 4,900 acres of space, Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest of all the Three Rivers’ parks. This park features many amenities and provides plenty of fun year-round for residents in the area. It’s found at 12400 James Deane Parkway in Maple Grove and open from 5am to 10pm daily.
Amenities
The amenities of the park allow for nearly every outdoor activity to be performed including winter activities. The Winter Recreation Area and the Eastman Nature Center provide added attractions within Elm Creek Park Reserve. Residents can also enjoy miles of biking and hiking trials, a swimming pond and so much more.

Winter Recreation Area
The winter recreation area provides a tubing hill, downhill skiing, snowboarding and about 18km of cross-country skiing trials. It’s a great place for the winter sports enthusiast to enjoy outdoor activities. There’s also a Chalet with equipment rental, public seating, a fireplace and concessions.
Nature Center
The Nature center is another huge draw for the park with plenty to offer. You can explore the display gardens, amphitheater, plants, pond and even the floating boardwalk. It’s a great place to learn all about the natural area of the park.
Camper Cabins
If you want to camp at the park, you can reserve one of the 12’x16; cabins found in a semi-remote area. The cabins feature tables, benches, a screened-in porch and wooden bunk beds. They provide full power, heat and lighting.
