August Schell Brewing Company is New Ulm, Minnesota’s favorite brewery with award-winning brews, an authentic beer garden and a long history of serving Minnesota. It’s a family-owned and operated brewery that began in 1860 when August Schell couldn’t find traditional German beer in America which inspired him to create one.

The German native began building the brewery along the banks of the Cottonwood River where you can still find the brewery today. It has passed on through six generations and has offered over 100 varieties of German craft beer. Here is a look at the beers you’ll find at Schell’s and what to expect when you visit.
