Lennar Planning 368-Home Community in Northwest Cottage Grove
The national home builder with the largest presence in Minnesota is currently planning another large-scale development for suburban Minneapolis, according to a recent report from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
While nothing has yet been made official, the Cottage Grove City Council has already approved Lennar Corp.’s preliminary plat design for a new 368-unit community on the city’s northwest side, and is currently waiting for the homebuilder to submit final plat documents.
Should the new Lennar development move forward, the community, which is being called Calarosa 1st Addition for now, will consists of 280 single-family homes and 88 attached one-level quad units, providing a nice mix of options for eventual buyers to choose from.
The single-family homes at Calarosa 1st Addition will reportedly include a range of one-level villa-style houses and two-story homes that have as many as four bedrooms, and Lennar’s NextGen model that includes private suites and separate living quarters for in-laws and house guests will also be available.
The first phase of Calarosa, which is expected to begin construction as early as this year, is slated to include 48 quad homes and 23 of the 280 single-family homes.
