Unique Single-Family Home Development Being Planned For Maple Grove

An Illinois-based developer is planning a unique development for Maple Grove that will include 66 detached single-family homes, of which each will be for rent rather than for sale.

According to a recent report from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Watermark Equity Group has officially submitted a proposal to develop the new rental community, which is being planned for a large 15-acre site near Forestview Lane and 86th Avenue, just north of Downtown Maple Grove.

If approved, each of the 66 single-family rental homes will offer between two and three bedrooms, and anywhere from 1,000 to 1,600 square feet of total living space. Both one and two-story floor plans will also be available, and each home will also be equipped with a two-car garage.

As of now, price estimates for the new community fall somewhere between $1,800 and $2,300 per month, and the development, which is officially being called Mills Creek, will also include a playground, a fenced-in dog park, and outdoor recreation area, and both a fitness and business center for residents to use as well.
