Some people explore international travel for business and other people do it for pleasure. Regardless of why you are going, you might find yourself in a position where you need to learn a new language. If you find yourself in this position and you live in Minnesota, you are going to need to know where the best language classes are located.

American Swedish Institute

Chelsea Bowen, at the American Swedish Institute, conducts a fast paced and intensive course for those interested in jumpstarting their Swedish speaking skills. Speaking, reading, listening, and writing are all four skills you will learn while in this class.

University Language Center

The University Language Center is a little more of a crowded choice because it teaches all major languages including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, English, and Russian. This is a great place to go if you cannot find an individual class or if you are interested in exploring more than one language at the same time. Just keep in mind the classes at this center tend to be a lot more crowded than some of the other options.

TandemPlus

TandemPlus is an option you will find at the University of Minnesota. It is an opportunity to engage in face-to-face conversations with individuals who are natives to the language you are trying to learn. Students who are enrolled in the University already get priority, but anyone is welcomed.

Concordia Language Villages

This is a place for both kids and adults to quickly learn a new language. You can reserve a four day weekend or a seven day week to learn German, Finnish, French, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Russian.

As you can see, there are a lot of great options for learning a new language in Minnesota. You just have to decide which one of these places is best for you.
