Lennar Corp. Planning Another Single-Family Home Community in Suburban Rosemount
New residential construction has been on the rise over the last couple years in the Twin Cities and with buyer demand still strong and inventory still low, that trend should continue throughout the rest of 2018. Earlier this week, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported yet another development proposal from Lennar Corp., this time for a 153-lot single-family home community in suburban Rosemount.
If approved, the new project will encompass 80 acres and be located on the west side of Akron Avenue, and plans for the first phase would include 65 single-family residences with construction beginning as soon as this spring.
As noted by the Business Journal, the Rosemount City Council will officially vote on the proposal on February 20th.
Lennar has been labeled the top home builder in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro Area for over a decade now and already has two existing communities in Rosemount, making this latest proposal the third. In 2016, Lennar sold 582 homes in the Twin Cities, generating $262.2 million in revenue.
As more information becomes available about the new Rosemount community from Lennar, and whether or not it gets approved, we’ll pass it along.
