A new single-family home community dubbed Highlands of River Pointe is likely on its way to Otsego thanks to the national homebuilder Lennar Corp. 

According to reports, Highlands of River Pointe still needs final approval from Otsego’s City Council, but a preliminary plan for 59 homes that was submitted back in January has actually already been approved by the city. Since then, however, an updated plan that includes 69 single-family homes is now on the table, which is why another approval is needed before construction can begin.

If built, Highlands of River Pointe will be located just south of 53rd street at Randolph Avenue, providing eventual home owners with easy access to Highway 101, which of course connects to Interstate 94. 

Highlands of River Pointe certainly won’t be Lennar’s first project in the Twin Cities area, or even in the city of Otsego, MN for that matter. Three other existing Lennar communities have already been developed in town, which include Landmark and Discovery in Martin Farms, The Villas at Martin Farms, and Discovery in Martin Farms. 

Based in Doral, FL, Lennar was also the top homebuilder throughout the entire Twin Cities region in 2016, which is the 11th consecutive year in which the company has claimed that honor.
