About Restaurant Alma

The restaurant opened in 1999 and has always been a casual atmosphere with a fine dining experience. The menu features eclectic cuisine with American dishes. The staff believes in providing warm hospitality and the ambiance is wonderful in this historically preserved building. You’ll love the exposed brick, the concrete floors from the original space, the high, open beam ceiling and the open kitchen. It’s banquette seating in a contemporary dining room. The gentle lighting creates a romantic feel perfect for any occasion.

What to Expect

You’ll get to enjoy a three course tasting menu where you can select any three dishes for $52 per person or you can order a la carte. All of the food is locally sourced, seasonal and fresh from top-quality sources.

Enjoy organic ingredients and a menu that changes every 2 months to keep it seasonal and fresh. You’ll never get bored with the constant variety and in-season options. Everything is American and you’ll enjoy items made from scratch daily like their pastries, breads, sauces, stocks and ice creams. Artisanal producers provide the wine, honey and cheese as well.

The restaurant is located at 528 University Avenue and open at 5pm daily. Park on the street or at the small lot behind Dunn Brothers Coffee. Fridays and Saturdays offer valet services. For dinner, enjoy menu items like the Duck Breast & Carnitas, Gently Cooked Chicken, Wild King Salmon, or the Warm Beets & Radishes.

Try starters and salad options like the Pork Belly Confit, Grilled Rye Levain and Young Lettuce & Fava Salad. Middle courses include the Hominy Grits & Sweetbreads and Buckwheat Crepe. For dessert, try the milk chocolate torte or the strawberry cream cake. Try something off of the amazing wine list with your meal.
