Back in 1953, Les Highet and Erma Hueneke worked together to combine their knowledge of ethnic and national pancake recipes into one awesome recipe. This was how the Original Pancake House started in Portland, Oregon which eventually grew into 100 franchises from coast to coast.

About the Original Pancake House
The restaurant is a national sensation since 1953. Each location uses only the finest ingredients including pure whipping cream, 93 score butter, fresh grade AA eggs and the finest plump blueberries. You’ll find hard-wheat unbleached flour, large pancake smothered with sautéed apples and cinnamon sugar baked perfectly brown.
Try the Dutch Baby, an oven-baked German pancake with powdered sugar. These are just a few favorites but they also offer a gluten free menu and lunch.
You can find The Original Pancake House located at 6322 Vinewood Lane in Maple Grove. It’s located on the Northwest corner of 494 and Bass Lake Road (County Road 10). They are open seven days a week serving breakfast and lunch from 6am-3pm. Call ahead seating is available and they provide free Wi-Fi.
