Why is Minnesota so Great in the Fall?

Fall Season in Minnesota
The fall is upon us and brings a chill in the air, changing leaves and plenty of fun events. Minnesota is especially great in the fall because of the many colors, sporting events and Halloween events. Here are a few of the many reasons why Minnesota is so amazing in the fall.

Anoka – The Halloween Capital of the World

Anoka is known as the place for Halloween because of the many events throughout October. This area has plenty of fall and Halloween attractions, as well. You can enjoy all of the following near Anoka, Minnesota in the fall:

  • Oliver H. Keller Farm in Elk River
  • The Light up the Night Parade – October 18th
  • The Grand Day Parade – October 25th
  • 29th Annual Anoka Halloween Gray Ghost 5K Run & One Mile Fitness Walk – October 25th
  • And Much More!

These are just a few of the many things going on for Halloween in the Anoka area.

Sporting Events

The fall season is a great time for sports in Minnesota. From the NFL team (Vikings) to the WNBA team (Lynx), there’s plenty to enjoy in the fall. This time of year sees more professional and college sporting events than any other time of the year.

Riverboat Cruises

The fall season is a great time for a Minnesota River Boat Cruise. The Padelford Riverboat cruises through October 26th and the Paradise Charter Cruise will go until October 12th. Both provide plenty of enjoyment along the Mississippi River.

Visit the Split Rock Lighthouse

A unique lighthouse offering amazing views of the fall leaves, the Split Rock Lighthouse is a popular choice during the fall. It will remain open through October 19th from 10am until 6pm daily. You can find the lighthouse in Two Harbors, Minnesota.

These are just a few of the many reasons Minnesota is so great in the fall. This area experiences all four seasons and fall is one of the best.
